Welcome to the new release of our ad sales course!

The ad sales course in which you're about to participate has been completely revised, adding a number of features and enhancements to help get you productive in your territory faster. Here's what's new:

An improved look
The most obvious change is the cleaner, more professional appearance of the course. The typeface has been changed and the columns are narrower, making it easier for a reader's eye to move from the end of a line of text to the beginning of the next naturally--just like when you read a newspaper.


Easy-to-use interface
There are a number of ways to navigate the course now. Sure, clicking on the link at the bottom of each page will get you to the next page in the course. And you can also use the navigation bars along the top and left of each page. But there are a few new ways to get around.

At the top of each article, you'll also see what's known as a breadcrumb trail that'll show you exactly where you are relative to the rest of the course. For example, if you're in the chapter on territory management, reading about common time management mistakes, the breadcrumb trail will look like this:

Each level is a clickable link so you can move in or out of a level quickly.

You'll also see a table of contents at the top right of each article, showing you the contents of the chapter you're in.

Links within the articles
When similar topics are discussed elsewhere in the course, you may find cross-referenced links to that topic. Feel free to click on them to find out more.

Cleaned up text
The course has been scrubbed for typos and sentences that just don't make sense. Articles have become more readable.

Expanded sections
All ten chapters have been revised to reflect the changing ad sales environment. Nearly every chapter has also been expanded, containing more information to help you get selling faster and more effectively. For example, the section on the sales call now includes more detailed discussions on every step of the call as well as more effective ways to overcome objections.

Similarly, the section on spec ads now contains more detailed advice on creating an effective ad strategy, including a step-by-step example of an effective ad being created. You'll find similar improvements in the other chapters.

Reflects the latest technology
The entire course has been updated to better reflect the way the business of advertising is now conducted. Technological advances have changed almost every step in the life of an ad, and these have been reflected as well.

Flash quizzes
The quizzes at the end of each chapter are now Flash-based, enabling you to be more interactive with them. They'll even give you a score at the end of each quiz (don't worry, the results aren't seen by anyone but you). If you don't have it already, you'll need Flash 6 or higher. With over 96% of computers now having Flash 6 or better, you should already have it on your computer. You can check to see if you have it here.

Let's get started!
You'll find the new course will tell you everything you need to know to start selling advertising. In fact, this course will probably put you ahead of every other advertising salesperson in your new territory.
